Montenegro, the land of the Black Mountains, has it all: beaches lapped by the Adriatic, the high peaks of Durmitor National Park, Europe’s southernmost fjord and its deepest canyon. The country’s small size means everything is within easy reach. Exploring by bike is particularly fantastic here, or hit the hiking trails and trek deep into the mountains, with or without a guide. Great food and a warm welcome await after each day’s adventure.
Five National Parks
Montenegro may be small, but it’s home to five national parks, each with its own distinctive character.
Kotor Bay & The Coast
The
Boka Kotorska is the only fjord in southern Europe, a beautiful inlet where nature and culture come together.
Old Montenegro
The historical heart of Montenegro lies just inland from the coast, where you’ll find the old royal city of Cetinje and small, historical villages lining the banks of Lake Skadar.
