Enjoy the flexibility of walking at your own pace, taking breaks when you like, while we organise the logistics for you: accommodation, including breakfast; luggage transfers; detailed tour
planning; a comprehensive information package and maps.
Self-guided doesn’t mean you’re completely on your own in Montenegro, though. We can always be contacted by phone, for information or in case of emergencies or problems.
The only thing you’re responsible for is arriving at your overnight destination each evening, but we’re always on the end of the phone, for emergencies or queries, so you won’t feel on your own.
Just look at what’s included:
Accommodation
You will mostly stay in 3* hotels (4* on request) or in private lodgings (apartments, mountain huts, shepherds’ cottages) selected because of their charm or, sometimes,
because they’re the only option in a remote location. We have selected small family-run hotels and cosy guesthouses wherever possible, with a good atmosphere and hosts happy to fill you in on the
history and culture of their specific Montenegrin region. All rooms have private facilities with the exception of certain mountain guesthouses, mountain huts or shepherds’ cottages.
Meals
Breakfast is included at almost all accommodation (with a few exceptions), and evening meals are often available for an additional charge, either at the accommodation or at nearby restaurant. We
are happy to provide dining recommendations.
Transfers
Any transfers during the tour eg. to a start point or from the finish of your walk are included. Airport transfers are not.
Information package
At arrival and during the orientation meeting you receive a comprehensive information package.
All tours are tailor-made to take into account your specific interests, travel dates, fitness level and desired hotel rating.
